Spine is faded & scuffed but mostly clean, bumped & frayed either end (more damage at head than tail), lettering & decoration fully visible & detailed but worn away in places. Cover is discoloured in places, front mostly clean but discoloured round edges, decoration, lettering & vignette scratched & scuffed, back slightly grubby & scratched, edges worn & bumped. Corners are bumped & frayed, boards exposed there & worn away on 3 corners. Writing indents & a crease on 1st free end paper. Frontispiece starting to pull away from adjacent page, glue is visible in spine area. Some pages (very few) have edge nicks & tears, and/or edge bumps & crease, and/or finger smudges in margins, and/or corners folds/creases including at either end of spine area. Page 63 has some transferred over printing in bottom corner, this looks like a Printer's error. Slight damage to paper on one word 9Emperor) on page 84.
