Hardcover. Condition: Good+. Letters of Ralph Waldo Emerson, complete in six volumes with a bonus volume, The Correspondence of Emerson and Carlyle (edited by Joseph Slater). Columbia University Press, 1965-1966; all volumes stated second printings. G+ hardcovers without jackets, as issued. All uniform in red cloth bindings with black/gilt titling on spines, gilt initials on front board of Letters of RWE volumes. Bindings are tight, sturdy, and square; a few gently bumped corners, else wear to edges of boards is very minor; faint pen writing at foot of each spine (volume number and years covered); titling remains bright and bold; previous owner book plate on all front paste-downs, some volumes have previous owner inscription on front end page; scattered, small pen markings in margins of most volumes, otherwise text very good throughout. An excellent working set. Due to the size/weight of this set extra charges may apply for international shipping. Not available for domestic priority/expedited shipping. Ships from Dinkytown in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
