Hard Cover. Condition: Near Fine. Copyright Edition. Two Volume set. Bound without Series Half Titles and no advertisements. Marbled endpapers. Bound in 3/4 cream colored vellum and marbled boards with gilt spine decorations and leather inset on the spine with the title in gilt. I have seen this binding described as 'vellum', 'faux vellum' and 'paper vellum'. This copy was once in the collection of The American Academy in Rome and has some minor markings: ink stamps to the title page; discreet pencil Library numbers to the top corner of the front endpaper; discreet Library numbers and the word 'Stack' in black ink on the upper left corner of the front cover. A clean example, mild cover dustiness, but solid and well kept. Attractive! ; Two Volumes.
