Paperback. Condition: Very Good. This revised edition draws on the masterpieces of the British Museum's collection to present a history of the golden age of the Wedgewood factory. It describes the achievements of the founder of the firm, Josiah Wedgwood, and uses letters and documents to reveal his close relationship with modellers, painters and sculptors. The Pegasus and Portland Vases are both considered in detail and the author goes on to trace the subsequent development of the firm into the 20th century. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

Paperback. Condition: Very Good. The Ashmolean Museum's collection of French porcelain is remarkable both for several individual pieces from famous collections, and also for the way in which it demonstrates the development in porcelain in France from the late seventeenth century onwards. This book illustrates and discusses in detail over fifty of the most attractive, rare and important pieces in the collection, from eight known factories, including Vincennes/Sevres, St. Cloud, Chantilly, Mennecy and Villeroy. Aileen Dawson is a Curator in the Department of Medieval and Later Antiquities at the British Museum. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition.
