Illustrated with photographs by Will F. Taylor and others from drawings. With a foreword by Osbert Sitwell. Illustrated with ninety nine plates, two of which are in colour. Collated, complete. Prize book plate to the first free endpaper from 1946.The Greater English Church by Harry Batsford and Charles Fry (1943-44) is the second edition, revised. Illustrated from photographs, plans, diagrams and early sources. Illustrated with 104 plates, four of which are in colour. Collated, complete.The English Abbey, Its Life and Work in The Middle Ages by Fred H. Crossley (1942-43) is a reprint of the second revised edition. With a foreword by Lord Harlech. Illustrated by photographs by the Author and others, and by drawings by Brian Cook. Illustrated with 106 plates, three of which are in colour and two of which are folding. Collated, complete.No dust wrappers present. In the original publisher's cloth bindings. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. The spines are slightly faded. The hinges are slightly strained but firm. The first free endpaper of 'Abbey' has been clipped. Prize book plate to the first free endpaper of 'Country House'. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot and light age toning. Very Good. book.
