Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Illustrated by Louise Turck (illustrator). 8 vo, 165 pp, inc. Footnoted, Bibliography and Index. Brown cloth with gilt embossed decor on front cover. Ex-Library, with the usual signs, plus threats! Yes, on both pages 6-7, stamped in red ink, "WARNING any individual mutilating library books, especially by such practice as bending the covers back to back, which tears the binding of the book, will be required . " (retribution follows) My conclusion: Someone was having a bad day. Happily, this memorable copy is otherwise, square, solid binding, and clean text.
