There is a charming bookplate on the inside front cover, see photo, and the book is signed by the editor Joan Cook. This book is the posthumously published by his wife, of memoirs written by Clifford Cook who worked in the family boat building business all his life. The firm, Walter Cook and Son mostly made East Coast sailing barges but other smaller craft were also made.
