Hard Cover. FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. iv, 284, lxvi, [2], 12 catalogue, 22 b/w photographic plates of coins. Maroon cloth-backed boards with gilt titles to spine. Spine shows very minor bruising to tail and slight shelf wear. Previous owner's name written neatly in blue ink to ffep, otherwise a clean, neat copy. Near Fine condition. The Royal Numismatic Society was founded in 1836 for the study of coins, currencies and other related items. The Society has an extremely large collection of artefacts and books, which are studied to produce this publication containing papers on items in the Society's and other collections. This edition includes writings on Northumbrian copper coins, Roman Imperial Denarii and copper coins of Leo III and Constantine V, from various collections. In addition there are sections on the President's Address, Proceedings of the Society 1964-65 and a List of Fellows.
