Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Hazel was born in North London into a working class family with three boisterous brothers. She thrived at school and so took the unusual step for a girl of her background of going to university. She graduated with a degree in mathematics and spent her working life developing and supporting computer operating systems. She married Ian in 1971 and they had two daughters together. Approaching 70, she decided it would be fun to put together a collection of her poetry with pictures, as a present for her six grandchildren. It was a team effort so thanks to Ian, Emma and Catherine; and here it is.
First edition, first printing; 8vo; 'Miss Girlie' illustration by Lorna Goodison, unmarked internally; publisher's pictorial wrappers, minor rubbing to extremities, else near-fine. Campbell's second collection of stories, published following the success of her first collection, The rag doll and other stories.

Four vintage reference photographs from the 1964 horror film, three without borders. One with a printed mimeo snipe affixed to the verso. Based on the 1842 short story by Edgar Allan Poe, about a cruel Satanist prince who invites the local nobility to a masked ball at his castle in the midst of a deadly plague decimating his village, unaware that one of the guests in attendance is Death himself. One of the earliest color films shot by cinematographer Nicolas Roeg, who would later go on to become a noted director in his own right. Set in medieval Italy, and shot on location in the UK. Three photographs 7 x 9.5 inches, one photograph 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus.
