Spine is cocked, faded and worn, with several marks, scores and stains. Spine ends are worn, bumped and nicked. Leading corners are worn and bumped. One or two small marks on foot of page block. Personal library plate on front pastedown. Upper inner edge of FEP is torn. Rear hinge is cracked. Book is very tanned at front and rear. Lower edges of several pages near rear of book are creased. Binding is visible at several points. Used.

No dustwrapper. First edition, pp392, index. Bushrangers were originally escaped convicts in the early years of the British settlement of Australia who used the bush as a refuge to hide from the authorities. By the 1820s, the term had evolved to refer to those who took up "robbery under arms" as a way of life, using the bush as their base.
