Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Jacket photos by Luis Marden (illustrator). 1st Edition. First edition, first impression. Some slight edge wear to top and bottom of jacket and spine, spine very slightly faded, faint coffee 'splot' to bottom page fore edges, top corners very slightly rubbed, not price clipped (£6.95), no inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg+ copy. 387pp, map and diagram endpapers. The story of the Mutiny on the Bounty, taken from Bligh's log, reveling the facts are very different from the popular view of the Mutiny. R. M. Bowker was a sailing author, publisher and journalist, but sadly I have been able to find out very little about him. Quite a scarce book.
