Hardcover. 203pp. Octavo [23 cm] Lime green cloth covered boards with a dark green ink stamped title on the spine, and the Texas Folklore Society emblem on the front board. Good only. There are several small stains on the rear panel, and there is a 3/4 inch closed tear in the bottom edge. There are also a handful of short closed tears and chips in the edges. Texas Folklore Society Publication XXVII. From the dust jacket- "The folklore to be found in Mesquite and Willow is both formal and informal, raw and refined- annotated studies of folktale dialogue and tale-type origins, plus ghost stories and good-humored animal tales.".
