Pioneer and woman's history by a great granddaughter of that intrepid pious family. Based largely on Diaries from 1852 by Mary Adams. UNCOMMON illustrated title with considable interest for women and those with an interest in Oregon history, pioneers, and the West. SIGNED and Includes an inlaid Note (5 3/4" x 7 3/4") with single horizontal fold, handwritten and signed in ink, on personal letterhead stationery, re: gift of this book. Solid copy without annotations, uniform light age-toning, occasional slight foxing (not affecting ilustrations). Postage-stamp sized smudge on rear free endpaper with offset to lower dj panel. Dust jacket is unclipped, age-toned with very slight foxing; a small clean rip to the lower edge of the dj's front panel andnick and chip to rear top.
