Reprint (hardback). 8vo (23cm by 16cm), [ix], 646pp. 16 colour plates by Rowland Wheelwright & William Sewell. Original brown cloth, dustwrapper. There is some foxing to the endpapers and the edges of the text block; overall, the book is in good to very good condition. The dustwrapper is in fair condition (chipped and torn with some loss). The dustwrapper has now been put in a mylar cover to protect it.

Reprinted edition hard back binding in publisher's original brick red cloth covers, gilt and yellow decorated Art Nouveau style design and lettering to the spine and to the front cover. 8vo. 8½'' x 6''. Contains (vi), 646 printed pages of text with sixteen full-page single-sided coloured illustrations by Rowland Wheelwright and William Sewell throughout. Ink name to the front free end paper and in Very Good condition, no dust wrapper. Loosely inserted is a hand drawn double-sided card with Doone Valley and District Map to one side, Doone Valley and District Key to the verso. Member of the P.B.F.A. DEVONSHIRE (Dumnonia).
