Bottom corners and spine ends have bumping. Gold gilt top page ends are bright. Heavy soiling and shelf wear to spine, edges and back cover.Lighter soiling and shelf wear to front cover. Previous owners very nice bookplate is neatly pasted to the inside front cover. Hinges are cracked but still attached. Heavy foxing to inside front and back covers. Lighter foxing to text mostly along the spine are. Text yellowed due to age otherwise clean and unmarked. The 12 full page, color illustrations are all present and in fine condition. Romance of Empire Series edited by John Lang. Primarily intended for the younger reader tells of the doings of "the valiant heroes, the bloodthirsty villains, the virtuous ladies who played their part in the Canadian drama".
