A collection of 16 typed transcriptions and interviews presented to the Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship Retreats in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The organization that sponsored these retreats, Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship, was an interfaith research group on occult and paranormal phenomena established by psychic Arthur Ford in 1956. Lecturers include an interesting cross section of figures in New Age thought, parapsychology, and, curiously, politics including Cleve Backster (a CIA interrogator who became fascinated by paranormal phenomena and began experimenting on plants and their intelligence and reaction to psychic phenomena) and J.B. Rhine, a botanist who became a prominent parapsychologist. Ruth Carter Stapleton was the youngest sister of President Jimmy Carter who was active in Christian healing ministries. Walter Houston Clark (1902-1994) was a professor of the psychology of religion at Andover Newton Theological School and an early participant in the Harvard Psychedelic Drug Project. He became an associate of psychedelic guru Timothy Leary. This file of transcripts was originally found in the archives of an editor of the Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship Journal and their book series. Scarce with no copies of most if not all transcripts not located in OCLC WorldCat. Very Good condition overall with a number of hand corrections, presumably by transcribers, to text.
