Small 4to. 86pp. portrait and facsimile of a letter dated July 23, 1858, enclosed in a facsimile of the original Plain Dealer mailing envelope(inserted at page 18). Printed on handmade paper, bound in brown boards, cloth back with caricature portrait by Clyde Erroll Norton on front cover. Wilson was a former associate in Cleveland journalism. "Browne was an American humor writer, better known under his nom de plume, Artemus Ward, which as a character, an illiterate rube with "Yankee common sense", Browne also played in public performances.
