Small octavo, tan illus. cloth (hardcover), 71 pp. Near-Fine, with light foxing (age darkened spotting) and bookplate; in a Very Good+, brightly illustrated dust jacket with a bit of edgewear. From dust jacket: RAFF and Anthony Armstrong have delighted such a host of readers with their previous records of Nice Types to be met with in the Royal Air Force, that the demand for a third volume on similar lines was inevitable. At the end of the war most of the Air Force Nice Types were scattered to the four winds of Civvy Street. Fortunately, however, our popular collaborators occasionally came face-to-face with erstwhile Nice Types, from the Station Commander down to the humble but inimitable A.C. 2 Plonk, with the result that once again these delightful personalities have become the subjects of Anthony Armstrong's engaging humour and are pictured by Raff with characteristic wit and insight. Humor, Illustrated, Comics, Military History, Military Culture, Royal Air Force, World War II, WWII. yslic.

Small octavo, tan illus. cloth (hardcover), 71 pp. Near-Fine, with light foxing (age darkened spotting) and bookplate; in a Very Good+, brightly illustrated dust jacket with a bit of edgewear. From dust jacket: Having received numberless protests from obviously Nice Types not depicted in their previous work under that title, A. A. and RAFF have felt it safer to compile a further volume. Even so some Nice Types have had to be omitted, for paper is short, books are small, and there is the cost to be considered of fountain pen ink, typewriter ribbon, drawing pencils and, notably, beer for interviewing Nice Types with. Still, as the authors say, "the years come round and in deference to enormous and somewhat hostile clamour, we're producing herewith another selection of R.A.F. Nice Types." Humor, Illustrated, Comics, Military History, Military Culture, Royal Air Force, World War II, WWII. yslic.
