Tucked in are ; a brochure introducing the American Maritime Library, a book review from the Maine Sunday Telegram dated 7/8/1993, a note from Mr. Baker to George Putz thanking him for a review of the book in the "National Fisherman"; a typed response to that note from Mr Putz of Vinalhaven. Mr Baker's note was addressing an item in his chapter that described the days when lobsters were so plentiful along the Maine coast that "one VInalhaven fisherman reportedly caught 900 lobsters in one day, reportedly picking them up by hand. " The authors were all eminent Maritime Historians who taught in a summer graduate program at Mystic Seaport. 125 illustrations in black and white. 10"x7". 299 pp. Inscribed by Author(s).
