Book
Printed Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Abram Games (illustrator). During 1951, the United Kingdom began the Festival of Britain to jump start culture in the UK and provide a "tonic to the nation" after the war. Abram Games, a graphic designer, was hired to create a logo, an emblem that was intended to act as a symbol of the Festival and this book describes the process used to come up with the logo that was eventually used. Written and published by his daughter. Profusely illustrated throughout in color and b/w, it provides insight into the creative processes used and the many iterations created before finally settling on the final design. In excellent condition. Measures approx. 9" x 10", with 88 pages. Printed covers, and decorative endpapers. Also includes graphic designs for other posters. Due to the weight of this book, additional shipping charges may be required for all deliveries outside the United States. SALE PRICE.
