Renowned Lindsborg, Kansas artist Lester Raymer (1907-1991) is widely exhibited and known for his signature motifs of the rooster, circus imagery, biblical themes, the culture of Mexico, renaissance plazas, and animals. His artwork is based on his love of the Spanish masters and much of his art and craftwork, including his Red Barn Studio itself, was made from recycled materials, ordinarily discarded or mundane objects that he transformed into beautiful works of art, crafts, static and kinetic toys, and sculptures and decorative elements.
