It was founded in 1939 by the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada. Illustrated with reproductions of photographs in duo tone & b/w and reproductions of letters by the Department of State, War Department, Navy Department, and others. It shows newly created schools and institutions along with the survivors and their leadership in the German and Austrian DP camps circa 1946-48. It is the best photo-illustrated documentary history of these displaced persons and the camps they lived and worked in. Age toning to outer edges of interior pages. Text in German, Hebrew and English.
