Clio and Erato Books

This collection of books is from four generations of readers and scholars, beginning in the late 19c. Some were acquired as rare books; most were bought for personal use and have become rare simply through the passage of time. Clio was the name of my beautiful Siamese cat who recently came to the end of her nine lives. Of course, Clio is also the muse of history, a theme in many of these books. Her sister Erato, is the muse of lyric poetry, embodying beauty and love, which can also be found here.
