Bad Animal is an independent bookshop, restaurant, and natural wine bar located in downtown Santa Cruz, California. We deal principally in the humanities, with a focus on literature, philosophy, and theology, but our specialty is the wild side of the human animal; the excessive, psychedelic, fierce, transgressive, uncanny, and uncivilized, as it cuts across a variety of fields and formats, though we prioritize rare, fine press, and historically significant copies.
