About the Author:

Mu-cheng Chen was born in Changhwa County, Taiwan in 1955. He earned his Master's degree from the University of Eastern Missouri and has won several children's literature awards. He currently serves as director of the Cross-strait Children's Literature Society, and principal of Hou Yung Elementary School.

Yi-nan was born in Taipei in 1944. A devoted cartoonist and illustrator, he won the 1990 Golden Censer Prize in the Children's Literature category for his illustrated adaptation of the classic, Journey to the West.
