About the Author:

Dr Monika Kashyap, currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Management, HNB Garhwal University, Uttarakhand, has a teaching experience of 8 years. This includes both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. She pursued MBA and PhD from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. Her areas of interest and specialization are finance and human resource management. Dr Kashyap has published numerous research articles in national and international journals of repute. She has been a resource person to academic institutions and also government organizations and delivers lectures on issues of contemporary relevance. Along with teaching, Dr Kashyap actively fulfils the administrative responsibilities at the HNB Garhwal University.

She was the convener for three events of the industry–academia interface held at HNB Garhwal University and made sincere efforts to deepen the linkages between the university and the industry. Dr Monika Kashyap and Dr Mahendra Babu Kuruva have been awarded the Best Paper Award for their paper on foreign direct investment (FDI) in retail in a national conference held at Himachal Pradesh University, in March 2014.
