About the Author:
Vanita Ahuja, PhD, is an Associate Professor at RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University, Noida. She holds BArch from IIT Roorkee, MTech in Building Science and Construction Management from IIT Delhi and PhD from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. She has more than 20 years of industrial and academic experience in the area of Construction Project Management. In the field of industry, she has worked on projects of varying nature and has also provided consultancy for Delhi Metro project. Formerly, she was Assistant Professor at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida and has been associated with prestigious institutions as a visiting faculty. She has been providing training to executives in the area of Construction Management across the country for public and private sectors. Her papers have been published in several international journals and presented in several international conferences. She has contributed chapters in books of international publishers and is on the editorial board of prestigious journals such as Emerald Journals. In the field of policy making, she is part of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) working group to draft codes for Construction Time Management and Construction Risk Management . She is also actively involved with the Project Management Institute (PMI), USA North India Chapter. Sangeeta Sinha, PMP, is presently working with a French software company at a lead position in India. She holds BE in Electronics & Telecommunications from BIT, Mesra, Ranchi and MTech in Digital Techniques from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. She also holds a certificate in CIPM and is a certified ISO Lead Auditor. She has more than 25 years of work experience in the corporate industry and academics. She has a vast experience in Project Management, with strengths in project start-up, planning, implementation and operations in software domain at multiple sites within India and Europe. She has managed about 15 projects, both at technical and managerial aspects. Her projects have received awards at global and national levels. In the field of policy making, she is part of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) working group to draft codes for Construction Risk Management .
