Inspired by Josep Palau i Fabre’s illegally published Poemas del Alquimista, Barcelona-based photographer Joan Fontcuberta (born 1955) immersed himself in photographic archives, transforming the decaying impressions found on old glass plates into original photographic images presented in this photobook.
