About the Author:
Frederic Grare is the director of the Centre de Sciences Humaines, New Delhi. He holds a Ph.D. in international relations from the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva, and had previously worked for the Programme for Strategic and International Security Studies in Geneva. Dr. Grare's recent publications include India and ASEAN: The Politics of India's Look-East Policy, Islamism and Security: Political Islam and the Western World, Tajikistan: The Trials of Independence, and Political Islam in the Indian Subcontinent: The Jamaat-i-Islami.
