Book Description Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Wastewaters commonly contain plant nutrients, particularly nitrogen and phosphorus that are often applied as artificial fertilizers to irrigated fodders and crops. Reclaimed water has been used for landscape and agricultural irrigation all over the world and these practices have been documented as an effective method to use water resources wisely and efficiently. To check the effect of recycled water in floriculture different plants were used including umbrella plant (Cyperus alternifolius), dracaena (Cordyline terminalis) and euonymus (Euonymus japonicas). The characteristics of wastewater used for irrigation showed an obvious variation in the mineral content of the sewage water and recycled water. Both types of water presented high values of EC. Plant growth parameters were studied to determine the effect of water treatments on plants. Results showed that sewage water had superior effect on plant growth and mineral uptake in all plants species used in this experiment. Recycled water also increased the plant growth and mineral uptake but it ranked second in water treatments. 92 pp. Englisch. Seller Inventory # 9783848429028
