It uses Genetic Algorithm as an optimization tool to vary the vent openings and report an optimum vent configuration. The optimum vent openings found by the optimization process in this book not only met the summer time overheating criteria for the naturally ventilated building taken as the case study but also reduced the annual energy consumed by the building.

About the Author:
Faisal Durrani, was born in Peshawar, Pakistan, on November 16,1987. He attended the University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar, graduating in 2008 with honors and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree. From 2008 to 2009, he attended Loughborough University, England, graduating with an MSc. in Building Services Engineering.
