About the Author:

Lisa K. Stump is the daughter, granddaughter, and great granddaughter of Lutheran ministers. Her mother was a psychologist, teacher, and consummate pastor's wife. She was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming with her two siblings. Her upbringing gave her a unique perspective on life, as did her need to define every situation based on a cost/benefit analysis. She was born an economist and earned her Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Wyoming in 1983. She spent 32 years working in and around the utility industry, where she wrote numerous legal and technical documents and gave several seminars around the country. She retired at the age of 55 and started writing this book. For the last 25 years she frequented a bar in Des Moines, Iowa. Her first book tells the stories of this neighborhood bar and its patrons and relates these stories to life's lessons.
