About the Author:

A former Key West resident., Wayne spent seven years there as a director in the hospitality business, where he spent endless hours in the Key West public library pouring over microfilm records of his families' conch roots. Wayne currently lives in Melbourne, Florida with his wife Tina. He has published a series of five books, all a combination of contemporary and historical fiction with a Key West theme. A world traveler, Wayne has visited 24 countries on five continents and all fifty states. An avid fisherman snorkeler, gourmet chef, former classic rock and country guitarist, he has also raced cars, trucks, and motorcycles in Baja and grew up as a rodeo cowboy. He has five children and twelve grandchildren. His latest fictional novel, Everbody's Bar in Key West, was be released in the fall of 2019. Gales also recently wrote and produced a series of illustrated books for kids.

Another Bric in the Wahl...Read the first four books too!!

This novel, Number Five in the Bric Wahl series, is another great read from Wayne Gales. It's good stuff on several levels.
I am the wearer of several hats: active shipwreck salvage archaeology enthusiast (treasure hunter), USCG licensed Master, engineer, diver and a picky stickler for accuracy in fiction. I believe that while suspending one's disbelief is necessary and part of the fun of reading fiction, the reader should not have to suspend one's knowledge of facts to read a book.
Wayne Gales has produced another highly readable, historically and geographically accurate winner. His characters are well fleshed out, likable and believable. Some good history of the Florida Keys and the Bahamas is woven into a great plot that spans centuries with some intriguing twists and turns and no dead ends.
The search for treasure in the Caribbean has captured men's hearts and minds for over 500 years now. From the first voyages of Columbus to the metal detectors out on the Florida beaches after every big storm, the urge to find and possess the gold and silver of the New World persists.
Buy this book and take a step into the world of Bric Wahl, Key West resident, treasure finder, bar owner, sailor and all around adventurist. There is high adventure, low humor, love, heartbreak, treasure and trouble. You'll find a bit of me in there too. Maybe you'll find that you awaken a bit of yourself traveling with Bric and Brody.
