About the Author:

Steven Atkinson, PA-C, MS, is a Board Certified Physician Assistant specializing in Geriatric Internal Medicine. He has been an educator at the University of Utah since 1994 and has been involved in medicine for nearly 22 years. He has been involved in Geriatric Internal Medicine for the last decade and is frequently asked to medically manage the most difficult patients with dementia-related behaviors, those with medication-related problems or those requiring medication adjustments in order to achieve the benefits of therapy. He has published and spoken nationally on dementia and related topics for various audiences. He has also been graciously recognized for his compassionate and dedicated service in Geriatric Medicine by those communities he serves.
