About the Author:
Mike Livingston is a freelance editor and writer whose clients include Air Medical Experts LLC, Conservation International, Points of Light, Roll Call, and the Washington Business Journal. He was born in Washington, D.C., and lives in Takoma Park, Maryland. He is the author of the Newcomer s Handbook for Washington, D.C. and was the Green Party candidate for D.C.s shadow seat in Congress in 1998. He serves on the board of directors of the Folklore Society of Greater Washington and is an officer of the Takoma Park Volunteer Fire Department. Mike graduated from Guilford College in 1993 with a B.A. in political science and peace studies.
