Jenifer Dick has been quilting since 1993, when on the spur of the moment, she took a beginning quilt making class. From the moment she finished that first wall hanging, she was hooked - from picking out the fabrics and deciding on the pattern to sewing that last stitch on the binding, she knew she would always be a quiltmaker.

In the early days she learned every technique, tried all styles of quilting and read every bit of quilting history she could. And after bouncing around for a few years making every style of quilt possible, she finally decided that she is a traditional quilter. Whether it's updating the past as in The Circuit Rider's Quilt or creating fresh settings and colorways for traditional blocks, she knows her heart belongs in the realm of the traditional quilt.

She is a member of Log Cabin Quilters Club of Harrisonville, Missouri, and the American Quilter's Society. Jenifer previously wrote Grapefruit Juice and Sugar: Bold Quilts Inspired by Grandmother's Legacy for The Kansas City Star. Jenifer lives in Harrisonville, Missouri, with her husband and three children.
