Marcelle S. Fischler is an award-winning journalist. Her column, the Long Island Journal, appears every Sunday in the Long Island section of The New York Times. More than 400 of her articles have appeared in The New York Times. Marcelle is a former feature writer for the Baltimore Sun and the Baltimore News American. Her stories have also been published in Family Circle magazine and the Jewish World newspapers. A native of Maryland and a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Marcelle has lived in Great Neck for more than 20 years.
