Teatime in the Northwest. Sharon and Ken Foster-Lewis take tea lovers on tasty travels through Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Hawaii and British Columbia. In addition, the new book offers over 80 recipes for classic teatime treats. “This exciting new edition of Teatime offers 155 tea rooms and tea caterers throughout the Northwest and beyond,” states Sharon. “We continue to include the best spots for afternoon tea in Hawaii since many Northwesterners travel there for holiday vacations. This edition will be especially favored by those planning special events like birthdays and anniversaries who want to use a tea theme for the meal.” Contributions from the included tea rooms plus traditional teatime treats from Sharon Foster-Lewis’ collection created the delightful selection of recipes in Teatime in the Northwest - Third Edition. Everything from rich cakes and pastries, to hearty one-dish meals, to over a dozen scones and breads are included in the book’s recipe section. Teatime in the Northwest - Third Edition also includes tea history, tea leaf reading, types of tea, tea resources and other handy references for use by tea lovers. Authors Sharon and Ken Foster-Lewis are busy at their home on Camano Island planning new ventures in tea and new writings on subjects related to Pacific Northwest travel and dining.

Ken hails from Liverpool, England where his life experience was as varied as jumping out of airplanes with the British Parachute Regiment and working as a dancehall bouncer during The Beatles’ early days. He has also lived in New Zealand, where his adult daughters Jennifer and Amanda and grandsons Elih and Connor live.
Sharon grew up on the Oregon Coast and received her education at Linfield College and University of Oregon before moving to Alaska. She met Ken in Alaska in 1978 where she was working for the airline on which he was a passenger.
They own and operate TeaTime, a national wholesale distributor of tea and tea-related gifts and are working on a new book. A shared love of nature, history, animals and travel carried them around the world before settling in the home Ken built for them overlooking the teatime sunset on the sparkling waters of Puget Sound.
