I woke up one morning at about 2AM with this idea in my head about a group of friends heading to this older house and there was this tree -- dark, twisted, and looking dead, but oh so alive. I couldn't go back to sleep until I jotted it down. The results were the building blocks for The Evil Tree.Meeting Daniel Thollin, the artist for this book, really brought it to new life. I can't imagine the book printed with anyone else's work interpreting the script. We both have a deep love for dark stories and he produced something magical that I hope readers love.
