From AudioFile:
Penny Wanawake, a black sleuth with ties to the British aristocracy, is the detective in this cliched mystery. She becomes involved in the murder of a young British nanny while temporarily running a domestic agency for Miss Antonia Ivory. With its easy plot, the story translates well to audio though the weakness of the text is still evident. The narrator's voice is low and beautifully modulated. She does well with English characters, especially Penny; her Spanish and American accents are less successful. The technical aspects are excellent, including sound and packaging. E.F.
