About the Author:

Charles Clapham is a retired mathematician who hikes and walks for a hobby. He and his wife Doris have hiked in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Switzerland, France, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. In the summer, they like to hike the high country of British Columbia, but in the fall and winter months, they explore the urban trails of Greater Vancouver. One year they may poke round West Vancouver and another year, explore the flat lands of Richmond and Delta. In the spring, while the snow is still on the high country, they like to explore the hills around Victoria and meander through the Gulf Islands.
