About the Author:
Henrik "Hank" Deichmann holds a BSc in Forestry from UNB and course work towards MSc in Wildlife Biology from Acadia. As a child, he spent countless hours wandering the fields, woods, and shores of the Kingston Peninsula in New Brunswick, which left him with an insatiable curiosity about nature. As a consequence, he pursued a variety of outdoor-oriented careers, most notably the position of Chief Interpreter and Ecologist with Parks Canada, Atlantic Region. His writing appears in a number of regional magazines and newspapers.
