Lecompton's Well Kept Secret Twenty-three-year-old Cheyenne Morrall believes her parents were killed in a tornado until Doctor Holloway tells her differently. As the young school teacher sets out to find who murdered her parents, she discovers many previously overlooked circumstances surrounding her father's farm. She meets a young doctor and a stagecoach driver who offer to help her. Before very long, she has fallen in love with Doctor Forrest Edlow, but finds out he has a fiancee in Boston. She finally realizes who has killed her parents, and that this man, Victor Snell is after something which he believes she has. He is convinced she knows where her father has hidden his money, and the whereabouts of buried gold from the mines of Colorado. The reader will be amazed at the evil ends to which Victor Snell will go to solve the secret of Lecompton's well. Will Cheyenne escape the evil Snell and win her true love?

About the Author:
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Florence B. Smith began telling stories as a child. She always loved to escape back in history to the 1800's. She has since written more than 50 books and has published many historical novels, articles, and short stories. Married at sixteen, Mrs. Smith was for 56 years with her husband Ike, who was her biggest fan and constructive critic. Grieving for the loss of her life partner, Florence stopped writing for over a year, but her passion for life ultimately brought her back to recounting stories that Ike himself would have loved to read and to have her tell.
