About the Author:

Ann Stalcup is an author and elementary school teacher. She grew up in England and moved to the United States in 1963. "Leo Politi: Artist of the Angels" is her ninth children’s book. Other books include "On the Home Front: Growing Up in Wartime England," an autobiographic account of her childhood experiences during World War II. She has visited over 100 countries, and her numerous published magazine articles are inspired by trips she has taken. Already an admirer of Leo Politi, she first met him in the early 1980s. Over the years she and Leo would get together many more times. This book is based on those meetings, and on the interviews she conducted with his numerous friends, family, and fans.
