About the Author:

Brad Hansen has been involved in both the creative and technical aspects of digital media for over 25 years. He developed fine arts computing facilities and MIDI laboratories at several universities and was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts grant for digital synthesis systems. In 1995 his company, Hansen Media, released the MPEG Benchmark Disc, which is used worldwide to test digital video delivery systems. Brad directs the Independent and Distance Learning program at Portland State University.
