Most children, especially children on the autism spectrum, accept adults' friendliness at face value. Sometimes it can have tragic consequences. Written by a Deputy Sheriff, this book is credited with foiling at least 22 stranger abductions. Characters Bobby and Mandee explain stranger danger in a way that is accessible, but not frightening, for children. Read it to your child and role-play different scenarios. Strangers can be men or women, old or young. Adults should not touch, give gifts to, or ask for help from children. If they do, don't keep it a secret! Tell an adult! Arm your child with the knowledge that may save his or her life.

From the Publisher:
In 1991, Robert became a Deputy Sheriff and a D.A.R.E. instructor, While teaching D.A.R.E., Robert perfected an effective method he calls " TOO SAFE FOR STRANGERS," a program that has foiled 40+ stranger abductions! With this insight and knowledge, Robert wrote his first book, "Too Safe for Strangers". This book is based on his successful program. This safety book is the essential, economical tools for parents, teachers, principals, law enforcement personnel, babysitters, and other trusted adults to share safety rules with children.
From the Author:
I grew up in Reno, Nevada. Reading and writing have always been a big part of my life. My biggest, and earliest, influence was my father. He came to this country and couldn't speak or write english. Later in his life, he became one of Reno's most prominent businessmen. I have a Master's Degree in Education. I was a sixth grade teacher for ten years. As I taught, I became concerned with the drug and gang problems that are plaguing our nation.
