Threatened by Katy's popularity, they gang up to destroy her candidacy. Even more devastating is Reverend Thomas Atwood, leader of the reactionary fundamentalist church organization, and an influential and powerful television personality with a personal vendetta against Kay. But the most dangerous foe of Katy's cnadidacy is ruthless Joe Domino of New Jersey, who zealously serves a New York family. He wants Kay destroyed by any means.
