A good introduction to the Impressionist movement and short biographies of the artists set the stage for this unique travel book. The eight chapters on walks and drives through the various sections where artists lived or painted include many reproductions of relevant paintings, maps of walking or driving routes, commentary on sights of interest, and information regarding hotels, museums, restaurants, and tourist offices. Although it is a bit large and heavy for a pocket book, this well-produced guide will be a pleasure for art and Paris lovers. Recommended for all public libraries.?George M.
