Synopsis

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child affirms education rights that include learning about the world and the rights for all children to expression and to information. This book focuses on the rights and responsibilities of children as global citizens and what teachers can do to present and promote them in their classrooms. Don Harrison has taught in Europe, West Africa and South East Asia and has helped develop teacher training and materials for Oxfam and Save the Children UK. He lectures in human rights at Bath Spa University and is researching the history of global education in England.
