Way back in 1983 I wrote what was to be my first book of several on the subject of aromatherapy.As I was writing from personal experience of utilising essential oils for skin and health care, using oils throughout pregnancy, childbirth and to help raise my three children, I wrote the first half in two weeks. The remainder of the book took a few months (followed by an eon of editing!) and in 1985 the original UK published version was on sale. Aromatherapy for Women was the third aromatherapy book ever to have been written in the English language. People refer to me as 'an aromatherapist' but I have never treated 'clients' and have no official accreditation. I wrote my first book straight from the heart and it is completely anecdotal. I love aromatherapy and essential oils.
About the Author:
Maggie Tisserand is a leading authority in aromatherapy. She is the bestselling author of a number of books including Essential Oils for Lovers (previously published as Aromatherapy for Lovers) also published by Thorsons. She is the co-founder of the successful Tisserand Oils which are distributed around the world, and is now involved in producing her own range of herbs and plants.
